Alistair joined us in October 2015 after spending many years in
hotels, bars, restaurants and nightclubs in hospitality management.
Naturally this is where he picked up a strong interest for food
& beverages and after joining Alliance he successfully
completed WSET Level 1 and Level 2, and is now looking to further
his drinks knowledge even more.
Well travelled, Alistair spent 2 years in the South of France as
a child and worked in Magaluf as a bar man for a Summer season. He
is now settled down and likes to take life a little easier. He
loves spending time with family and friends, out cycling or at his
local whisky shop for one of their tasting nights. He visits
Murrayfield for the Scotland rugby team's home games which have
become more enjoyable in recent years as they are actually starting
Stephen joined Alliance Wine in the summer of 2016 and looks

working in hospitality that made him develop both an interest in
wine, and the beginnings of a relationship with Alliance firstly as
a customer. After a lengthy sojourn into academia, studying
First World War literature, it was time to trade the trenches for
the vineyards. When an opportunity opened up in the customer
services team, Stephen jumped at the chance, and hasn't looked
back…just take a look at his staff account.
Alan joined Alliance in 2018 after many years of carrying
plates, telling food puns and selling wine in the restaurant trade.
Working for the company allows him to justify the vast quantities
of wine that he consumes on a weekly basis as "product knowledge
training". A keen fisherman and shot, he spends most of his free
time outdoors in pursuit of anything with fur, feathers or fins to
have for his dinner. He can also be found at the side of the road
lying underneath his homemade camper van, when something inevitably
