Symphonia, Victoria

Established in the 1980's by a visionary winemaker, Peter Read, who believed the climate and soils of the alpine-like King Valley in Victoria were ideal for growing some of the less well known cool climate varieties of the world.

This vision resulted in the earliest plantings of Saperavi, Tannat, Petit Manseng, Tempranillo and Albarino in Australia. Peter and Suzanne Evans, the current owners have continued this vision and determination to champion quirky varieties. Extensive lees aging for the whites gives these wines an unexpected freshness and longevity
