Their position on the foothills of Emilia is ideal, as the microclimate allows the sun to burn off the winter fog and the cool greenery to moderate the summer heat.

The farm has been certified organic since 1985 however has followed organic practices for many years. Natural fertilisers, encouragement of natural predators against pests and use of natural preventative measures against fungi such as copper and sulphur. This may mean fewer grapes, but the results provide for a tastier wine.

The vineyard's South Eastern and South Western exposure ensures native varieties such as Roncolo ripen well. All harvesting is done by hand and collected in small baskets and crates which are sent immediately to the winery which is located centrally within the vineyards.
