Ferndale

Pristine fruit from the vineyards of the South Island are utilised to make a pair of wines that illustrate concisely just why New Zealand has been so successful.

Given our long term approach to Australia, it makes sense for us to work in the land of the long white cloud.

New Zealand's verdant pastures may have disappeared to make way for vineyards but it remains a spectacular country, full of diverse climates and microclimates and the quality has never been better and we're delighted to be introducing our new Ferndale range.

The year sees the birth of Alliance Wine New Zealand which introduces a Sauvignon Blanc and a Pinot from the regions of Marlborough, home to some of New Zealand's most sought after wines, and Waipara, the fastest wine growing region in the country.

The strong between hot sunny days and cool nights in Marlborough extends the ripening period of the vines like nowhere else, while the terroir in Waipara, along with the long, hot autumn period, results in unique expressions of the grapes.
