Ferndale, New Zealand

New Zealand's verdant pastures may have disappeared to make way for vineyards but it remains a spectacular country, full of diverse climates and micro climates.

The quality has never been better and we're delighted to be able to have Ferndale on board with it's classic Kiwi varietal.

Viticulture

Ferndale Sauvignon Blanc was produced from grapes grown in the heart of Marlborough and the Waipara Valley. The extended growing season of warm, fine days and cool nights ensured the fruit was harvested in wonderful condition.

Winemaking

Following harvest the fruit was gently pressed, settled and racked to fermentation. The juice was then cool fermented for 28 days and left on yeast lees contact for a further two months prior to blending, light fining, filtering and bottling.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Pristine fruit from the vineyards of the South Island are utilised to make wines that illustrate concisely just why New Zealand has been so successful.
  • Fermented for 28 days and left on yeast lees contact for a further two months for complexity and structure.
