The second the deep seated respect the winery has for its surroundings, where it sits in the landscape of hills and slopes that look over the majestic course of the Duero River. Combining these strengths helps form a winery with vision, grounded in the present creating powerful fruit driven wines of style and class.
This is a traditional large producer, who has decided to embrace change, so whilst their viticulture is deeply rooted in tradition seeking to maximise the expression of their land, they are now making wines that are classic and in harmony, but with a contemporary twist.
Winemaker Almudena Alberca MW, Spains first female Master of Wine is determined to change the perception of wines from this region. Gone are the powerful oak flavours, which she has replaced with clean, fruit driven, elegant styles.
