Château de Ferrand, Bordeaux

Château de Ferrand in the commune of Saint-Hippolyte was built during the reign of Louis XIV.

This pictureque vineyard, purchased by Baron Bich in 1978, covers 30 hectares. It is now the property of his children, who have kept the estate intact and renovated the buildings while preserving their original architectural style.

Château de Ferrand is one of the few estates to offer mature (minimum of 5 years) Bordeaux wines suitable for further aging under the Saint-Emilion Grand Crus appellation.

This wine is composed of mostly Merlot, for fullness, roundness and persistence with a quarter given over to Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for fruitiness, structure and complexity.
