The wines of Corsica are a well kept secret no more!

Corsica is an island located 170km southeast of france and only 11km north of the island of Sardinia so it is no surprise that many of the varieties and winemaking traditions are Italian in origin.

There are a large variety of grapes grown on the island, with the three traditional varieties being the red grape, Nielluccio (Sangiovese) and the white grape Vermentino (Malvoisie),which certainly prove the island's Italian heritage, but then there is the red Sciacarello, which is unique to the island of Corsica.
