Château Grand Gamelle, Entre-Deux-Mers, Bordeaux, France, 2016

Producer Profile
Viticulture
Château Grand Gamelle has been in the Allegret-Roy family for several generations. They are in the process of converting to organic winemaking. This is a small vineyard, just seven-and-a-half hectares in size, and of that, only five-and-a-half hectares are devoted to red grapes (the rest are white). It is in the village of Ligeux, which is near the town of Sainte-Foy-La-Grande, in the extreme eastern outreaches of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. The vines are planted on clayey-limestone slopes on the Pineuilh hills.
