Château Lamothe-Cissac, Bordeaux

In Roman times, the terrroir around the estate was already famous for producing quality wines. Remnants of a Roman villa have been discovered close to the Château.

When Gabriel Fabre purchased the property in 1964, the whole vineyard had to be replanted and the winery completely rebuilt.

His son, Vincent Fabre, took over the management of the estate in 1991.  The 33 hectare vineyard is located partly on the commune of Cissac adjacent to Pauillac and partly on the plateau of Vertheuil contiguous with Saint-Estèphe.
