Domaine de la Couvette, Beaujolais

Producing quality Beaujolais for 5 generations.

Situated 25 minutes from Lyon in the South of the Beaujolais region in the village of Bully this is a winery that was created in 1870 and has been passed down from father to son for 5 generations since 1870.

Today the estate is run by Gautier Marion alongside his father. They aim to produce wine that is respectful of tradition and in harmony with the environment, which has led them to produce a certified Organic Beaujolais. Around 11 ha of Gamay vineyards with vines of between 3 & 50 years old, they also produce a white Beaujolais from Chardonnay with 7 year old vines on 2 ha of soil. The red wines undergo Carbonic Maceration and are then gently pressed before a cold and traditional fermentation in concrete vats.
