Our tasting is structured around the theme of “Inspired by…”, highlighting the producers influenced by iconic regions to create exceptional, expressive, and commercially compelling wines:

  • Inspired by Burgundy
  • Inspired by the Loire
  • Inspired by the Rhône

From established favourites to exciting new discoveries, each wine has been selected for its ability to perform on a list, drive sales, and offer something distinctive to your customers.

A thousand years in a glass: Wines of Central Europe

Led by Beans Broughton MW, this session will explore wines that span an extraordinary timeline of these three great winemaking countries: from some of the oldest wineries in the world, to bold contemporary skin-contact wines released only last year. Exploring how heritage lends these wines their sense of structure, how diversity brings creativity and how patience reveals longevity in every glass. These ideas are at the heart of and help inform the individual, but complementary, identities of Germany, Austria and Hungary and their winemaking heritage. This is a rare opportunity to experience iconic classics alongside today’s most expressive bottles – a snapshot of the past, present and future in one focussed and engaging masterclass.

Chenin Blanc: a masterclass in terroir & technique

Chenin Blanc is one of the world’s most versatile and expressive grapes – and nowhere does it shine more than in the Loire. Join Chief Executive Fergal Tynan MW for a deep dive on terroir, technique and inspiration that have shaped the extraordinary range of wine styles across the region. This is your opportunity to take a journey through the heart of the Loire, taste expressive wines from Brendan Stater West in Saumur, Domaine des Baumard in Savennieres, and Chateau de Plaisance in Anjou, and Francois Chidaine on the slopes of Montlouis. We’ll finish with a blind tasting curveball - a Chenin with just as much soul as the Loire, but from further afield.
Explore the true versatility and appeal of Chenin Blanc in this focussed and inspiring tasting, this is a session not to miss!

Whether you’re buying for on-trade or off-trade, INSPIRE is designed to give you practical ideas, new perspectives, and a strong start to the year ahead.
