Guido Marsella, Poggi Reali, Greco Di Tufo, DOCG, Campanhia, Italy, 2016
Farming organically to help draw out and capture the best that his terroir can offer, he produces exquisite examples of what Fiano used to be before over production and international popularity devalued this delicate, delicious wine. As a champion of the underdog, Guido also produces a scintillating Greco di Tufo.
25 - 30 year old vines on clay soils at 500 metres ASL. Guyot trained, the grapes are hand harvested and carefully selected by Guido Marsella himself at the end of October.
Fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel then aged in stainless steel for 20 months.
No oak treatment.
A delicious white wine from southern Italy, this Greco di Tufo is wonderfully aromatic, with notes of ripe tropical fruit. Boasting delicious flavours of quince, passion fruit and lime.
Fish, chicken and most types of cheese.
