The 2025 Wine Merchant Top 100: Celebrating our winners
We’re thrilled to share that 29 of our wines have been recognised in this year’s Wine Merchant Top 100 – the only competition judged solely by independent wine retailers and dedicated to wines in the independent sector.
Of the 29 wines that garnered recognition, 19 were highly commended, ten secured a coveted spot on the prestigious Top 100 list and two took home special trophies:
- Sparkling Wine Trophy: Pierre Mignon, Grande Réserve Premier Cru, Champagne, France N/V
- Best-Value Rosé Trophy: Adega de Redondo, Terras Lusas Rosé, Vinho Regional Alentejano, Portugal, 2023
These results reflect the strength and diversity of our portfolio, spanning classic regions and emerging producers, and offering exceptional value across all price points.
Ned Llewellyn, Sales Director - Off Trade, accepted the trophies at the official presentation on Tuesday 20th May at the London Wine Fair. He shared:
“We’re incredibly proud to see so many of our wines acknowledged by the independent trade. These awards are a testament to the producers we work with and the passion they bring to every bottle. It’s a real honour to represent them, and to accept the trophies on behalf of Alliance Wine at the London Wine Fair.”
