The Clarendelle wines are part of the eminent Domaine Clarence Dillon family including Chateau Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut-Brion & Quintus.

First launched in 2005, Clarendelle was the passion project of Prince Robert de Luxembourg who was inspired by the legacy of Clarence Dillon, owner of Château Haut-Brion. The wines benefit from the knowledge and experience of the winemaking team at First Growth Chateau Haut-Brion, La Mission Haut Brion and Quintus and always contain a small proportion of wine from these grands vins. Clarendelle was Bordeaux's first super-premium brand and the style is an expression of Bordeaux terroir that delivers subtle elegance and age-worthy wines. Viticulture

Utilising the knowhow of the team at Haut-Brion, the wines are carefully crafted with traditional methods in a modern winery, using only top quality French oak when appropriate and ageing carried out in their state-of-the-art eco-friendly wine storerooms.

Tasting Note

Clear and brilliant, with an intense yellow colour and golden highlights. Aromas typical of Sauvignon Blanc (lemon and blackcurrant buds) dominate on the nose, accompanied by notes of white flowers and orange blossom imparted by Muscadelle. Tropical fruit and citrus flavours come to the fore on the palate. Notes of lemon and grapefruit emerge, mingled with nuances of fleshy white fruit such as pear and lychee. Delicious, round, attractive and fruity on the palate. The rich and concentrated texture is underpinned by a thirst-quenching minerality. The incredibly long aftertaste showcases the complexity of this wine, with ripe fruit flavours balanced out by a lovely vivaciousness. All in all, a gourmet, refined wine with a great deal of tension and elegance.
