Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot, Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy, France, 2020

Producer Profile
Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot is a distinguished family-run winery located in Vosne-Romanée, at the heart of Burgundy's Côte de Nuits.
Established in 1964 through the union of the Confuron and Cotetidot families—both with deep-rooted viticultural traditions dating back to the 17th century—the estate now spans approximately 11 hectares of esteemed vineyards, including Grand Cru, Premier Cru, and Village appellations
Viticulture
Chambolle-Musigny is one of the most elegant appellations in Burgundy’s Côte de Nuits, producing Pinot Noir wines known for finesse, perfume, and silky texture. The soil has a high limestone content with a thin and stony topsoil. The vineyard slopes gently east and southeast providing good sun exposure and drainage.
Winemaking
Cold maceration followed by low-temperature fermentation. Ageing is carried out in selected oak barrels, for a period of 21 to 23 months. After racking, the wines are bottled without any fining or filtration.
Tasting Note
Rich and incredibly intense wine with a round texture, offering a full expression of the Chambolle-Musigny terroir. A delicate and distinctive character, the wine exhibits red berries, floral notes, and a hint of earthiness, with silky tannins and balanced acidity, all contributing to a long and elegant finish.
Food Matching
Ideal food matches should highlight subtlety rather than overpower with richness or spice. Roast duck with cherry sauce, Coq au vin, Comté or mild goat cheese.
