Sommelier Wine Awards 2026 | Two trophies & 81 medals!
We are thrilled to announce that 81 medals have been awarded to wines represented by Alliance Wine/H2Vin in the 2026 Sommelier Wine Awards, as well as trophies for Best Dessert Wine and Best Pét Nat. From Spain and Italy to France and beyond, producers across our portfolio earned recognition - a brilliant reflection of the quality and diversity of the wines we’re proud to bring to the UK on-trade.

The Sommelier Wine Awards are the UK’s only wine awards dedicated exclusively to the on-trade, and judged by the country’s top sommeliers; every wine is assessed by the very professionals who recommend and pour wine for guests every day, so a medal here is a genuine mark of on-trade credibility.
Of the 81 medals we received, 12 wines were also awarded special medals in the Critics’ Choice, By the Glass and Pub & Bar categories - accolades that single out wines ideally suited to listings across the full spectrum of on-trade settings, from fine dining to relaxed neighbourhood venues.

Dessert Wine of the Year Trophy Winner:

Dried apricot and marmalade alongside floral notes of orange blossom, all leading to notes of candied peel and confit of quince on the palate, as well as membrillo paste and caramelised pear, with a floral lift to the finish. Pair with an apricot tarte tatin.'
