Château La Rose Trimoulet

Managed by Jean-Claude Brisson, the estate focuses on producing approachable, terroir-driven wines that express the character of this prestigious Right Bank appellation. With a relatively small vineyard and careful attention to quality, Château La Rose Trimoulet crafts classic Saint-Émilion wines that balance ripe fruit, structure and elegance.

Viticulture

The vineyard covers 5 hectares and is planted predominantly to Merlot (76%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (22%) and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon (2%). The vines have an average age of 25 years and are rooted in a mix of clay-limestone and siliceous soils, providing both freshness and concentration. These varied soil types contribute complexity and help produce grapes with balanced ripeness and typicity.

Winemaking

Grapes are harvested and then vinified using a combination of concrete, stainless steel and barrel vessels, allowing flexibility throughout fermentation and élevage. The wine is matured in oak barrels, with 30% new oak and 70% older barrels, helping to enhance texture and complexity while preserving the fruit character of the wine. Annual production averages around 30,000 bottles.
