Domaine Bruno Colin, Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Vieilles Vignes, Burgundy, France, 2022

Producer Profile
Creating his first vintage in 2004 after the decision to separate the family domain in three ways, Bruno Colin cultivates the family’s vines in the Côte de Beaune’s most prestigious appellations.
He painstakingly cares for 8.55 hectares of surface under vine in the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint- Aubin, Santenay and Dezize-les-Maranges. His philosophy is "Each vinification is an interpretation of a vintage and a Terroir. All of our wines are vinified in the same way in order to reflect the differences between our parcels."
Viticulture
Produced from four separate 'lieux dits', and from 45-year-old vines, this is an exemplary Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge and offers tremendous bang for its buck. The Domaine utilises organic farming methods, preserving the vineyards and regulating the yields in a commitment to quality. Pruning, disbudding, lifting, and stripping are practiced and are adjusted according to the 4 Seasons and climatic variations.
