Beppe Morchetta, Rosso, Veneto, Italy, 2024
Producer Profile
Beppe Morchetta encapsulates Italian style and good taste with a trio of wines from selected vineyards in the Veneto that are unmistakably Italian, both in presentation and character.
The latest addition to the range is a bright, fresh and fully sparkling ‘Spumante’ that combines Garganega and Trebbiano in a delightful lively blend. Meanwhile the ‘rosso’ is a characterful blend of Merlot and indigenous Corvina displaying bright cherry and plum flavours, while the ‘bianco’ combines Garganega and Chardonnay in a classic expression of the local terroir, close to the town of Soave.
Viticulture
Crafted from grapes grown across the rolling hills of Veneto, where each variety reaches its fullest expression. The region’s diverse soils and varied vineyard exposures nurture optimal ripening, allowing the resulting wines to showcase the true character and authenticity of the grapes.
Winemaking
The Merlot and Corvina are gently fermented in stainless‑steel tanks at carefully controlled temperatures, ensuring the purest expression of fruit and preserving the vibrant character of each variety.
Tasting Note
The perfect Italian red for all occasions. The 2024 is ruby red in colour, juicy and succulent, spicy notes as well as ripe red fruits, cherry, some plum and the perfect balance between acidity and tannin. Salute!
