Viticulture
Corton Grand Cru Le Rognet is a distinguished climat located on the northern flank of the Corton hill, within the commune of Ladoix-Serrigny. The terroir is defined by rich limestone soils mixed with clay, often tinged red from iron oxide, which imparts both structure and finesse—limestone lending freshness and clarity, while clay contributes depth and power. Situated on a moderately steep mid-slope at elevations between 260 and 300 meters, Le Rognet enjoys an east to southeast exposure that ensures ample sunlight and effective drainage, promoting optimal ripening while preserving acidity. The slightly cooler conditions here extend the growing season, enhancing aromatic complexity and balance.
Tasting Note
A fragrant, herbal nose layered with mineral tones, lifted by notes of strawberry compote and raspberry. The palate is well-balanced, offering a generous core of rich, concentrated fruit and spice, all wrapped in fine, silky tannins.
