Champagne Lenoble, Vendange Collection Rosé V19, Champagne, France, N/V
Producer Profile
Founded in 1920 and based in Damery, in the heart of Champagne's three key vineyard areas, Champagne Lenoble is an independent, family-led Champagne house with more than a century of history.
The house has built its reputation on a commitment to craftsmanship, excellence and authenticity, with values passed down through successive generations. In 2023, Champagne Lenoble entered a new chapter when it was acquired by the Frère-Gallienne family, whose passion for fine wine continues to drive the estate's pursuit of quality and innovation. Lenoble's philosophy is rooted in the belief that Champagne is the noblest of wines. Through limited production, meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to creating "Grands Vins de Champagne", the house has earned the respect of both connoisseurs and discerning wine lovers around the world.
Viticulture
This cuvée is sourced from two of Champagne's most renowned areas, the Côte des Blancs and Grande Vallée de la Marne. The blend is led by 80% Chardonnay, providing elegance, freshness and mineral precision, complemented by 20% Pinot Noir, which adds structure, depth and subtle red-fruit character. 45% of the wine is from the 2019 harvest with the remainder from reserve wines.
Winemaking
Produced from 45% wines from the harvest and 55% reserve wines, this champagne gains remarkable complexity and consistency, with a portion of the reserve wines aged in cork-sealed magnums. Fermentation and maturation take place primarily in tanks, with 20% of the wines aged in wooden vats and a small proportion matured in magnum under cork. After an extended ageing period of 60 months, the wine is finished with a low dosage of 3g/L, resulting in a refined Extra Brut style with exceptional balance, freshness and depth.
Tasting Note
Delicate pink hues and fine bubbles introduce aromas of cherry blossom, wild strawberry and raspberry. The palate is fresh and vibrant, with redcurrant, raspberry sorbet and hints of blood orange and mandarin on the precise, appetising finish.
Food matching
Fine tart with confit tomatoes, salmon rillettes, duck breast with roasted figs, beef carpaccio with capers and aged Parmesan, blueberry tart, raspberry coulis macaron.
