Champagne Lenoble

Founded in 1920 and based in Damery, in the heart of Champagne's three key vineyard areas, Champagne Lenoble is an independent, family-led Champagne house with more than a century of history.

The house has built its reputation on a commitment to craftsmanship, excellence and authenticity, with values passed down through successive generations. In 2023, Champagne Lenoble entered a new chapter when it was acquired by the Frère-Gallienne family, whose passion for fine wine continues to drive the estate's pursuit of quality and innovation. Lenoble's philosophy is rooted in the belief that Champagne is the noblest of wines. Through limited production, meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to creating "Grands Vins de Champagne", the house has earned the respect of both connoisseurs and discerning wine lovers around the world.

Viticulture

Champagne Lenoble manages 35 hectares of vineyards directly and through long-standing grower partnerships. The estate sources Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, Pinot Noir from Premier and Grand Cru sites in the Montagne de Reims, and Meunier from Damery and the surrounding Vallée de la Marne. This diverse vineyard base allows the house to create wines that express the balance, elegance and freshness of Champagne's finest terroirs. The estate is committed to sustainable and responsible vineyard management, adopting environmentally conscious viticultural practices designed to preserve soil health and vineyard biodiversity. Champagne Lenoble was among the first estates in Champagne to achieve High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, gaining accreditation as early as 2012.

Winemaking

Champagne Lenoble deliberately limits production to safeguard quality and maintain its exacting standards. A defining feature of the house style is its expertise in creating and ageing reserve wines, which form the cornerstone of the Lenoble signature. The house maintains a perpetual reserve aged in magnums under natural cork, allowing the wines to develop exceptional complexity and aromatic depth. A minimum of 40% reserve wines is incorporated into blends, ensuring consistency, richness and elegance across the range. For more than twenty years, Lenoble has championed minimal or zero dosage, producing Champagnes that highlight purity, freshness and the authentic expression of their terroirs. Precision, patience and craftsmanship remain at the heart of every cuvée.
